All products are guaranteed for at least a year following any manufacturing defects. As a Trading Standards Approved Company, we follow their advice of how much Warranty that we should offer. This depends mostly on the type of use and the quality of the item.
Most mattress complaints are because the bedstead or divan is not flat. Mattresses follow the shape of whatever they are sitting on, so if you have soft slats, a raised centre bar or a wobbly-topped divan, your mattress is likely to suffer and this is not covered by guarantee or warranty.
Also see below under the next heading of "mattress protectors"
Good quality mattress protectors are advised and will help to make your mattress last longer. If you have paid very little for your mattress protector it isn't likely to give much protection to your mattress.
Bedlam Beds sells recommended protectors, please ask.
Stains of any type may invalidate your guarantee or warranty.
Water softens foams and other bedding materials, rotting the fabric and rusting the springs. This can happen surprisingly quickly in certain cases.
Not all mattresses require turning, but if the manufacturer advises it, you should turn your mattress over or rotate every week for the first three months, then every three or four months after that. (Turn, rotate, turn, rotate, etc.)
If your mattress is a non-turn mattress, rotating it weekly for the first three months, then every three or four months after that.
This will help the fillings to settle down more evenly.
We cannot accept back any items that you do not like once they have been unpacked, due to Health and Safety Regulations. Please check your new bed/mattress before the plastic is removed.
We usually send two men, but with lighter items we may only send one.
Please ask if you require a member of staff to be present who has been CRB checked.
If you are expecting assembly, this must be agreed in advance and will be mentioned on your invoice. If nothing is mentioned, the driver may not be able to carry out any additional service.
